Role Summary/Purpose

* Environmental lawyer position reporting to Vice President & General Counsel.* Provides legal advice and representation on matters governed by laws intended to protect workers, public health or the environment (EHS) in locations throughout the world.* Most matters governed by US federal and state laws, so a strong knowledge of major US environmental legislation and implementing regulations is needed, in particular, CAA, CWA, RCRA, TSCA, CERCLA.
Essential Responsibilities

* Working with Corporate and Business EHS program managers to identify program improvements that enhance compliance.* Assisting EHS program leaders and facility EHS managers in understanding non-routine or gray area regulatory requirements.* Prosecuting appeals of permits or other administrative decisions.* Defending against enforcement actions.* Overseeing preparation of PMNs, LVEs and other TSCA filings.* Preparing persuasive oral and written communications to prevent enforcement and seek correct administrative decisions.* Lead negotiations and draft settlements of disputed matters with regulatory agencies.* Assisting business teams to develop plans to comply with product stewardship laws (e.g. WEEE, RoHS, REACH, etc.).* Representing Appliances & Lighting in trade association activities addressing product stewardship initiatives.* Training Appliances & Lighting Supply Chain leaders on GE Policies.* Provide legal intake for a Supply Chain Organization to ensure legal questions reach correct specialists, and guide that organization through Compliance Reviews (Legal Coordinator).
Qualifications/Requirements

* JD with minimum 10 years of environmental legal experience.* Proven track record of success in working in a fast paced environment.* Excellent academic credentials, with superior analytical and communication skills.* Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.* Ability to lead, influence, drive change.

Role Summary/Purpose

The Senior Counsel for GE Healthcare IT will be a key member of the executive management team for the Clinical Business Solutions business. This key role will be responsible for providing strategic legal support related to this dynamic business segment of GE Healthcare IT.
Essential Responsibilities

This position will work closely with the business team to develop legal templates and processes for new business and commercial models, working with the business to translate new Healthcare IT legislation and regulations into market leading business models, and structuring, negotiating and closing of highly structured commercial alliances with key strategic partners and customers to achieve key business objectives. Additional responsibilities will include: the structuring, negotiating and closing of high stakes intellectual property development, sharing and licensing, hosting arrangements, distribution agreements, global ventures, advising on cutting edge legal issues being raised by the development and licensing of clinical content, electronic medical records and revenue cycle management, including under global medical device regulations, practice of medicine regulations and Medicare/ Medicaid and federally funded healthcare programs, advising the business on regulatory, privacy, data security, antitrust , intellectual property and advertising/promotional matters, supply chain matters, assisting the business in structuring partner programs and defining legal strategies and policy for exciting novel legal issues being raised by the use of financial and clinical IT. Qualifications/Requirements

Role Summary/Purpose

Role Summary/Purpose

GE Appliances & Lighting, headquartered in Louisville, KY has an opening for an Intellectual Property (IP) Counsel. Role Summary/Purpose

Role Summary/Purpose

The Senior Counsel, Research is primarily responsible for overseeing and providing strategic legal support of the research compliance and research contracting segments of GE Healthcare. Role Summary/Purpose

This position will provide compliance support to GE Capital Americas Risk Management function.
Essential Responsibilities

    * Provide advice to assigned business unit on structuring transactions, develop and /or update operating procedures and/or processes with respect thereto.
    * Compliance oversight of business activities, up-dating and implementing audit and compliance procedures, and training and dissemination thereof, coordinating with other business legal and compliance personnel.
    * Monitor developments in relevant law, regulations and interpretations.
    * Drive segment/functional compliance staff activities, including quarterly segment Policy Compliance
    * Review Board meetings.
    * Provide additional compliance and legal support as required

Qualifications/Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

    * Bachelors Degree, J.D., Bar admission with 8+ years of legal experience in litigation or compliance.
      Eligibility Requirements:
    * Must be a member in good standing of one or more state bars or the D.C. bar and where required, in house counsel registration or admission to the local state bar.
