| Job Description | Position Overview: As part of our strategic growth, Amdocs is currently seeking a Bilingual Corporate Attorney located in Jersey City, NJ, USA Bilingual Corporate Attorney to develop and lead legal efforts in Latin America Major Responsibilities: # Reports directly to the Vice President and Deputy General Counsel and will focus on legal matters in Latin America as well as North America # Proactive handling of commercial contracts and agreements # Responsible for drafting, negotiating and managing all forms of commercial contracts # Regular interface with a highly collaborative and interactive legal / business team # Regular interaction with business clients, management and outside customers in regard to drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements and transactions (about 60% of the time) # Responsible for reviewing procurement, marketing and other vendor-related matters (about 25% of the time) # Counsel will collaborate with corporate headquarters and related departments on intellectual property matters as well as providing legal analysis and advice on licensing requirements, company programs and projects and other company business (about 15% of the time) # Assist the Deputy General Counsel on other legal matters and contribute to the overall legal function of risk analysis of the company # Fully bilingual English and Spanish skills required. Portuguese a strong plus Requirements: # Required Skills # University degree and a J.D. from a recognized law school with solid record of academic achievement # Admitted to the Bar and in good standing in at least one jurisdiction # Ability to register for admission as in-house counsel in NJ # 3+ years commercial and transactional legal experience (either in-house or in a law firm environment) with strong background in licensing, professional services and managed services agreements # Fully fluent in Spanish and English (reading, writing and speaking). Portuguese is a plus! # Working knowledge of US and EU Intellectual Property laws # Knowledge of US and EU Data Privacy Laws and US Export Administration Regulations is desirable # At least two references and a writing sample will be required Travel/Relocation: Position must be based in Jersey City |
