The position is ideal for someone who has strong communication and presentation skills and professionalism. The successful candidate will be a proactive attorney who can work effectively with teams and independently, and who can manage projects to closure, with attention to detail. This position will work closely with many business groups within the company on both shorter-term projects and to establish longer-term corporate level processes and practices. Responsibilities of the position include providing legal advice and work product related to: - Intellectual property protection, counseling and portfolio management - M&A activities, with immediate focus on post-acquisition integration matters - Strategic intellectual property transactions and support of company business models and strategy - Legal issues related to finance, tax, employment/human resources, marketing, sales and operational departments. - Developing and maintaining corporate governance, corporate policies and compliance best practices - Litigation management - Special projects as requested Requirements: A successful candidate will have a law degree, approximately 5+ of corporate legal experience and be a member of the California state bar. Ideal candidate would also have expertise in other areas of the law, such as: commercial contracts, intellectual property and/or employment law. In house experience is preferred and top tier law firm training is required. Salary and title commensurate with experience.
