 Position Description
 Provides and manages all aspects of legal support for  intellectual property matters for the organization.  Provides a variety of legal services to a number of in-house clients, including advice and counsel regarding patent prosecution, copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, open source, source code escrow matters, licensing of intellectual property, and intellectual property litigation.  Coordinates the work of intellectual property paralegals and assistants, as well as manages outside counsel. Demonstrates significant experience in all aspects of intellectual property matters, including management of patent disclosure and application program, training of R&D community and executives on intellectual property matters, assisting with intellectual property aspects of mergers and acquisitions, as well as intellectual property contracting provisions.
 Minimum Requirements
 Candidates must have an excellent academic background, including an undergraduate degree in engineering or other science, be a member of at least one state bar, be admitted to practice before the US Patent and Trademark Office, and have significant intellectual property experience (5 to 12 years) with a top law firm and/or corporate legal department.  Must have a successful track record of handling complex intellectual property matters, as well as excellent organizational, analytical, teaming, and problem-solving skills. Candidates also must have strong interpersonal skills in order to interact directly with both the company's R&D community and executives.  Candidates must be self-starters, resourceful, and collaborative in a team-oriented environment.

 Undergraduate Degree in Engineering or Science
Law Degree
