Job Description	Global Markets/Global Banking Litigation Attorney : 1000017462 US-NY-New York Description The Global Markets and Global Banking Litigation group is responsible for all litigation and disputes emanating out of the corporate, global markets and investment banking divisions across Merrill Lynch/Bank of America, and for certain regulatory investigations. The primary purpose is to provide first class, responsive legal advice to these businesses and senior management regarding litigation, disputes and certain regulatory issues relating to those businesses' transactions, policies and procedures. Apart from advising business people, his lawyer will primarily supervise and work as a strategic partner with outside counsel and will have extensive reporting responsibilities with respect to pending litigation and cost management. Responsibilities will also include: document discovery, interviewing witnesses, preparing witnesses for depositions, and general fact finding, working closely with internal line of business lawyers, compliance, and communications personnel, corresponding and liaising with regulatory agencies, monitoring the ongoing litigation and regulatory matters, seeking to make the best strategic decisions possible, and providing sophisticated, timely and practical advice to the business heads and line of business lawyers.   Qualifications Required Skills: Extensive relevant experience and product knowledge Candidates should have excellent academic credentials and extensive (at least 8 years) law firm and/or in-house experience in handling securities and complex commercial litigation and arbitration as well as regulatory matters. Candidates should be strong writers and creative, strategic thinkers with ability to influence and develop trusted relationships with clients and team members, must work well under pressure and in a challenging environment, must have excellent communication skills, be able to manage multiple tasks, and to handle matters independently.
