Role Summary/Purpose The Senior Counsel, Investigations will be primarily responsible for providing legal leadership, strategic and tactical legal advice and compliance leadership for internal investigations within GE Healthcare. Essential Responsibilities Build your career and experience the advantages that come with working for the “World’s Most Admired Company” (Fortune Magazine) offering significant opportunities for growth and career advancement… and helping clients to live life to its fullest! * Conducting in-depth compliance investigations across GE Healthcare’s businesses * Managing outside counsel in evaluating and implementing proposed investigative strategies * Conducting direct witness interviews and working with auditors and other personnel to assess risk and determine disclosure strategy within the context of an investigation * Coordinate multifaceted investigative teams for complex internal investigations * Provide strategic guidance to and briefing Senior Management on investigative matters globally * Work with Compliance Manager and Executive Counsel Litigation to implement preventative compliance programs * Generally applying combined business and legal judgment in connection with proposed deals, relationships and other issues requiring legal, compliance or investigative attention Qualifications/Requirements This position open to internal and external candidate * JD (or equivalent) with active bar membershi * Minimum 6 years of significant investigative and regulatory experience and direct experience driving significant internal investigation * Strong direct experience in making disclosures to and negotiating with relevant Government agencies * Demonstrated experience providing legal advice in a highly regulated environmen * Demonstrated experience identifying and resolving legal issues quickly and effectively and ability to make on the spot risk calls * Demonstrated experience prioritizing conflicting demands from multiple business clients in an extremely fast paced environmen * Willingness to engage in extensive travel globally as require * Prior experience using word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software * Strong working knowledge of English language (oral and written)* You must be willing to take a drug test.* You must be willing to submit to a background investigation, including for example, verification of your past employment, criminal history, and educational background.* You must be legally authorized to work in the United States without work sponsorship at the time of hire. Desired Characteristics 1. Significant prosecutorial or investigative experience * Experience in working for or dealing directly with specific Government Agencies relevant to GE Healthcare, including the FDA, DOJ, HHS, SEC or their non-U.S. counterparts * Experience in conducting FCPA, False Claims Act, Anti-Kickback (AKS) and other compliance related investigations* Local candidates preferred |
