Role Summary/Purpose The Executive Counsel directs functional area of a major business segment, translates concepts, develops strategy, and implements change. In this role, you will create programs responsive to the external environment, and participate in cross-functional business, and cultural development. Essential Responsibilities * Provide leadership and counsel in support of contract and document review, compliance, internal investigations, compliance training, risk assessments, product liability, employment matters, dispute resolution and litigation * Coordinate internal compliance investigations * Coordinate litigation management including the use of outside counsel * Provide risk assessment advice to GE operating management * Coordinate all dispute resolution with vendors, customers, Joint Venture’s, Revenue Sharing Partner’s, etc. * Provide legal advice and counsel to operating management * Lead direct report attorneys and appropriate outside counsel in support of litigation / compliance activities * Coordinate proactive and preventative legal training and document review Qualifications/Requirements * Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school with a concentration in litigation * At least 8 additional years of experience with civil or criminal litigation practices in state and federal courts * At least 3 years of experience in employment, commercial, and products liability litigation * Member in good standing with the State Bar GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work.
